Lorna Siggins's Portfolio

Commission

Lorna Siggins's portfolio proves that wordpress is neither capable of nor necessary for the creation of SEO efficient, easy-to-build portfolio websites coupled with a user-friendly CMS. It's built with Hugo and Decap CMS, and hosted on Firebase. Despite her extensive web presence on high-trust domains like the Irish Times, and X/Twitter, when you search for Lorna on Google this site is the first result.

The Moral Teachings Project

Part of my master's thesis

The Moral Teachings Project is a web app designed to present a Middle French scholar's thesis - a translation of Christine de Pizan's "Enseignemens Moraux" - in a novel format designed from the ground up to provide a highly usable, accessible, and useful interpretation of a digital edition. It was accompanied with a thesis on user-focused design, the software development life-cycle, and the failures of humanities departments to craft digital editions that matched or exceeded the usefulness of print copies.

The Virtual Galleria

Passion project

The Virtual Galleria is an interactive art project that comes straight from the souls of myself and one of my best friends. Wander through the ethereal milieu of the background of a thousand minds, examine and adore the exhibits, lovingly crafted to 1997's most innovative X3D's exacting standards. This has been slightly ruined by modern browers' insistance that I can't force your client to play music - but we promise we'll fix that soon.

headphones.science

Passion project

headphones.science is a web app that allows you to rank, sort, and filter commercially available headphones by a range of criteria, including their Predicted Preference Rating. Predicted Preference Ratings are the result of the premier statistical model for inferring how an average listener perceives the sound quality of a headphone.
